my thin-skinned wandering
I am always asking what it is like to walk in the world with thin skin. What it is like to allow myself to be touched by the world. I want to move through the natural world experiencing the beauty of it, the comfort it gives, the vastness that encourages our view to be larger.
“my thin-skinned wandering embraces image, language and texture through poetry and photography. It is a powerful invitation for the reader to become more than a reader of poems—to engage with transparency, the literary fragment and the image in such a way that the book becomes felt-experience, both physically and emotionally. The poems are a testament to what is born of loss, to the abiding natural world, and to embracing the intensity of longing so that the door can be opened to what mystery reveals. In the words of the poet, ‘this dim notion of life's myriad details matters.’”

I map my experience and my relationship to place, to each other, and to the internal landscape as well. What intrigues me is the constellation of connections in a moment. The layering of fragment, my image and poems. I desire a loose weave of things allowing the reader to look at the pieces and form their own composition.
